In this series, Hurtig takes an unconventional approach to a seemingly antiquated technique by etching onto magnifying sheets. The work makes visible what most of us have probably accepted without noticing, quoting excerpts from the terms and conditions of the social media platform Facebook, but replacing the word “profile” with the word “image.” The results include: “You will keep your image accurate and up-to-date” and “You will not use your image for your own commercial gain.”
