This series of photographs shows views of the start-up accelerator SpinLab at Leipzig’s Baumwollspinnerei where young entrepreneurs can develop their new business ideas in a specially created setting. With homely furnishings including games consoles, plants, designer furniture, and the latest technology, it comes across as a mixture of youth club and office. Soberly capturing details of the deserted spaces, Stefan Hurtig’s camera addresses changes in the world of work. The new economy is increasingly breaking down the borders between private space and work space, ultimately leading to the loss of privacy.
